My journey to owning a barbershop began when I was just a young girl. It’s funny—my grandmother used to give me old-fashioned bowl haircuts, and I couldn’t stand walking around like that. So, at the age of 9, I started cutting my own hair. By middle school, I was cutting my friends’ hair, which eventually led me to enroll in cosmetology school. After graduating, I started doing hair and makeup for weddings, which was a lot of fun, especially because I got invited to so many receptions! Eventually, I craved a change of pace and decided to focus on men’s barbering. I started out at Great Clips and worked my way up to luxury men’s grooming. After being let go from my last job, I knew I didn’t want to find myself in that position again. So, with the little savings I had, I decided to open my own salon suite. Thanks to the incredible support of my clients, my small business flourished. I’m beyond grateful for this journey and the people who’ve helped me along the way. My daughters continue to be my biggest inspiration and the loves of my life. Thank you all for welcoming us into the community, and I look forward to being of service to you and your family.
